Starting notes and wondering how will the shape of a wing affect distance--paper airplane wings

4th Grade is learning all the protocols for setting up and experiment. We have practiced the steps, labeled the notebook, taken notes, and made sure that the purpose of the experiment is clear.
Taking down the questions in composition note books and answering them They were making predictions and then there were to notice what was going on during the experiment.






Finding a good place to read after checking out a book from our class library.


 Clarissssa is beginning to come out and visit in the afternoons. She has been sticking her head out during the day. The kids are asking good questions about her. She just shed so looks really shiny.



Following the directions for folding the airplanes. There were two different wing designs. 
Our new Chinese Language Teacher, Teacher Qiu (Chew). The kids will have Chinese Language 2 times a week. 

Experimentation in action. Good questions: Can we color? Then I ask, "How might that change the experiment? Was that in the plan?"
